I remember one nighttime clip Ayahuasca ceremony, held in a little glade in the Amazon rainforest. There are respective different sorts of icaros, at the beginning of the session. Their intent is to arouse the mareacion or effects, and, in the words of Javier, 'to render the head susceptible for visions to penetrate, then the drapes can open up for the start of the theatre'. Healing icaros may be for specific statuses like 'manchare' which a kid may endure when it acquires a fright. The spirit of a kid is not so fixed in its organic structure as that of an adult, therefore a little autumn can easily do it to fly. Manchare is a common ground for taking children to Ayahuasca sessions.
The humanistic discipline of the Shipibo, especially textile designs, are closely related to Ayahuasca icaros. The words of the chants are symbolical narratives telling of the ability of nature to mend itself.
